Marriage and widowhood

Few teachings on marriage today address how to live when that marriage is over. Divorce rates are near 50%. The more likely end is death. Of 10 marriages, in 8, the husband will pass first. We widows want to live honoring God. Few of us were prepared for that single role. Starting marriage well is important and teaching helpful. However, we dare not neglect teaching about the ending of marriage. We can teach divorce prevention, not death prevention.
Without apology I advocate for widows. 103 verses in Scripture describe God’s love for us, how we should live, how we can live. Order, Not Alone, a book I’ve written about 11 courageous widows in Scripture. They inspire us all. Those widows teach us all how to live becoming single.
