Loving Others
October 3, 2017
Our national unrest highlights that it is difficult, practically impossible for us to love others not like ourselves. Even though we are all from one blood, descendants of Adam. This is clearly a spiritual matter. We are born with sinful, selfish hearts. We cling to our position, power, and others like us.
Jesus disrupted this. Accepting Him, we can love others not like us, we can give up power–Jesus did. We can reach to OTHER, that person we don’t understand, who does not look like us, sound like us, think like we do.
Talking the talk is no longer enough. To walk the walk we must enter the world of OTHERS. See their struggles, hear their experience. We can do this because Jesus did.
