Lonely in crisis.
September 29, 2017
We humans feel alone in those moments of crisis. Sitting in that medical facility, that courtroom hallway, the prison waiting room. Truly, no human can understand another’s emotional upheaval, pain, or perspective. That’s why I rarely say, “I understand.” The death experience of my husband taught me that.
Yes, we feel alone. But we are not. Our Creator, Jesus has felt every emotion we have felt. And because He in intimately involved in every circumstance in this universe, He does understand your life events and even your perspective. Hebrews 4:15 and 5:2 affirm this fact. He was tempted, and subject to weakness. Only He can whisper to you, “I understand” and say those words with one hundred percent truth.
