Lessons from adoption

Questions from curious people about adoption in our family has me studying adoption in Scripture. Many children were raised by other than their biological parents. Moses by Pharaoh’s daughter, Samuel, by the priest Eli.
Most impressive is that God adopts us as His children when we accept his Son Jesus for who he is.
When we adopted our two sons, we completed forms asking us our preferences from eye color to age, disabilities to health. God doesn’t do that, THANKFULLY.
His is a ‘come as you are’ or as the song states, ‘Just As I Am.’
Ever the patient Father, he instructs and informs, but we are free to chose whether we act like Him and adopt his values and truths as our own.
