Kingdom equity/How

A stranger approached me after a Bible study I taught on God’s lessons about widows.  My visit to Malawi was full of surprises, as were his comments.  “Miriam Neff,” he declared, “you’ve been given much kingdom equity.  How will you spend it?”

Having never heard that term before, I asked for an explanation.

“It’s God’s good gifts given through and because of your crisis.  You learn.     Wisdom through pain.  Patience earned through long nights.  Passion for people we never noticed before.  Strength to resist wrong choices. That’s equity.  It’s now yours.”

James 1:2-5 is making sense.  Consider trials joy?  Yes, there’s an accompanying GIFT!  “Be assured.”  God keeps His word. Your gift is on the way.

Want to be rich with kingdom equity?  Don’t dodge the crisis, step into it. God has a good gift for you.
