Irregular days

A wise friend during her battle with Pancreatic cancer stated, “Irregular days cause us to value regular days.” Such truth as 2020 comes to an end. I have a plaque that says, ‘2020 is in need of a cntrl, alt, delete button. This feels like truth today. I am reminded of her words. ‘value regular days.’
Bundle up on a cold day and sip coffee outside. Value that you have coffee. Treasure a routine of self care, and a bit of time to read. Regular. That we have shoes to tie, clothes to wash. I’ve visited in villages where none of this is possible. Yes, we’d like to close the curtain on much of 2020. Irregular for sure. Value regular, appreciate ordinary, and be grateful.
