M Picking the products in your investment portfolio is important, personal, and should be YOUR choices.  I spoke recently to a retired, single woman whose portfolio is determined by others.  They’ve changed their model to charge her more for those services.

V She needs to first look at what she is invested in.  Lets start with a simple differentiation.  Dividend stocks are popular with some.  They can have long term income, large companies, proven track record.  Advantage may be that dividend.  Disadvantage may be slower growth. Growth records are almost flat.  However your risk might be smaller.  Companies have done something right or they could not give that dividend.
