What if others could read our heart?  They see our behavior.  But do they know why we act?  Scripture gives us examples to show that motivation is important.

 

V Example: The shrewd manager in Luke 16 had wasted his masters possessions. He devised a way to provide for himself after his exposure.  People looking on might not have known his motivation.

 

His motivation?  He asked himself what should he do for self preservation.  He was praised not for his dishonesty, but for his shrewdness

 

M Others see our actions. God knows what we’re thinking. And God’s perspective is what counts.
