Intergenerational 3

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M We hope to promote intergenerational conversations about money.  I hope my children have learned a few good financial habits from my husband and I.

V Scripture has examples of intergenerational lessons caught, and a few that did not end well.  The Prodigal son squandered his inheritance, while his older brother did not.  David left great wealth for his son to build a temple for God.  Solomon did so.  Consider taking young adult children to a financial seminar, or online learning opportunity.

M  Talk about the decisions you are making and why.  Children need not know numbers, but they benefit knowing why some areas have priority in your spending plan.  Start early and keep talking.
