Hoarding versus reasonable accumulation # 2

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M  When we focus on God’s calling on our life we have to evaluate  temptations to neglect the best for the good.  Accumulating stuff can do this.  How do we know when we’ve spent our money for something good, so we can’t spend on what’s best?

V Hoarding may be an extreme example, but its easy for stuff to grow to where we are spending time and financial upkeep for temporary stuff.   Hoarders hurt relationships with others in order to have around them what they want. Compulsive hoarding may impair mobility and impair basic activity.

M  Here’s a test on this.  Hospitality.  I look around my space.  Is this conducive to welcoming people into my home?  People are more important than things.
