Hearts versus heads

Small acts of kindness, caring words, those opportunities surround us daily Karen Mulder in Wisdom of the Wounded says it well. ‘Individuals who need our comfort and care are all around us. The problem is our hearts say, “Go,” but our heads say, “No.”’
That often describes me. I’m in a hurry. I don’t know exactly what to say so I’ll rush on. Jesus’ examples show me how. Some of his treasured words came from interruptions in his life. The woman at the well, a tax collector peering down from a tree, children crowding his space. Here’s a prayer God will always answer. Lord make me a blessing to someone today. Your schedule will flex. He gave you that day. It’s His to direct. Be ready. He’ll do it.
