With Father’s Day approaching, not all look forward to that day with anticipation.  Earthly fathers are human, none perfect.  So what do we do?  Dread the memories, hope to avoid a hard day?

 

Why not think of God our Father, the only perfect one.  He is everything we could wish for.  A perfect example no one can achieve.

 

I’m thankful that God our Father waits.  We children mess up, ignore Him, run from Him.  He does not disappear.  He waits.  Sometimes for years as did the father of the prodigal son in Luke 15.

 

Just as physical growth takes time, Spiritual growth does as well.  His word offers us milk when we are young, immature, and meat when we are ready.

 

Thank you God for being our patient, waiting Father.
