M Days of stress and disruption challenge us to study Scripture with a fresh openness to applying God’s word today. Given the employment disruption, 1 Timothy 5:8 is important. ‘Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.’
V In Jesus’ day, those who did not want to obey his words might have asked this question: “Who is my relative?’ Instead lets ask, ‘Who might I help?” “What is in my hand that I can share?”
One prayer God always answers is, “Show me who I can help and how.” Scripture says that even a cup of cold water matters.
