Frugal reminders

M We have plenty of reminders around us prompting us to spend, spend, spend. Coupons, sales, comparing living space and stuff. I suggest having visual reminders around to prompt frugality.
V Our families trip to a Massi village in Africa opened our eyes. The warriors dressed one of my sons as a Massi warrior. Foot gear? A sturdy version of flip flops made from old tires. We were told they never wear out. And they were comfortable, even suitable for running. One old truck tire makes many pairs.
M I look at those ‘shoes’ and am reminded to be resourceful. Instead of spending, reuse, repurpose.
