Foundations matter # 2

Leaning apartments in Japan drew attention to corrupt construction. Foundation pilings were not sunk in rock as indicated. Corruption charges followed.
Important note. The new apartments looked great though the problem was present. Time revealed the problem. It was only investigated when investors complained.
Life comparison. Declaring Jesus was a good person who wants good things for you is a nice decision. What human doesn’t want more sunshine and good stuff in life? But what happens when life’s challenges happen, rejection, illness, death, betrayal?
Depending on Jesus as our strength, our source of wisdom, life direction, forgiveness through His sacrifice requires faith. Faith to lean into Him in bleak circumstances. He is our rock. That’s the decision that secures our foundation through all storms.
