We are seeing many institutions, even those seemingly connected to Christian foundations, shaking, teetering, swaying in the winds of our times.
A parallel might be the collapse of a high rise condominium in Miami. Situated on a beautiful ocean beach, the four decade old building crumbled ultimately killing at least 97 people. One expert suggested a foundation-related matter.
Consider Luke 6: 46—49. Jesus speaks of the only foundation for our institutions, our families, and us as individuals. His words and obedience our to them, is our rock solid foundation. He was speaking to folks who called him Lord. Talk only. Good looking exterior.
Sandy foundations are popularity, success by numbers, attractive like an ocean view. Storms will come, but can’t they can not destroy a grounded Christ follower.
