Financial secret keeping

M  I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money.

M When is financial secret keeping a good thing?  Certainly not in businesses and individuals as well.  The IRS requires accounting and laws abound.

V Scripture does make one exception as it relates to our generosity.  Matthew 6:4

so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

There are times that you see a need and give anonymously.  Grocery gift cards to a family in a tight place, a mortgage payment in a lay off season.  One advantage is that there is no ‘obligation back’ a true gift from the giver without any desire for recognition or pay back.

M  Anonymous giving puts God’s spotlight on our heart.
