Financial assistance # 4
January 20, 2022
I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money
M I’ve known ‘vintage’ friends who gave financial assistance to others, even to philanthropic, and faith-based organizations to the detriment of their financial viability. Health issues happen. Incomes change with divorce or deaths, and we want to honor our previous commitments.
V Remember that Scripture says provide for your family. That’s the person you see in the mirror. That recipient of your generosity, if they have God honoring character will respect the change you must make. No pressure, no emotional spin.
M Get council from another person and ask them to hold YOU accountable. Tell the person asking that you’ll need to get approval from another person. That may change the whole conversation.
