M If you have some wealth, even a bit, it’s likely someone will ask you for financial assistance. Likely that person will be family or friend. First response, the heart string. Stop! Would I be helping or enabling?
V Ron Blue offers several questions. Why are they in need? Laziness, matters they could control, or matters beyond them? II Thessalonians 3: 10. If you don’t work you can’t eat. That’s motivation. A handout might promote laziness. Is my action an expression of God being generous and merciful, or would it prevent what God is trying to do in that persons life?
M Family and friends can evoke emotions like of guilt or love. Neither should dictate our response. What is God honoring?
