Financial accountability

I’m Miriam  Neff with Wise Women Managing Money-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan

M We are often ask what is the most important step toward financial accountability?  The answer is quite simple. Know what’s going out and what’s coming in.  In reality, it takes time and attention to detail to do that.

V Use whatever system works for you.  Mom does paper and pencil.  We do spreadsheets and aps.  The next in importance is ‘What debt is hanging out there? not addressed?’  Credit cards that are not paid off matter.  That first step tracking stares back at us.

M Facts are stubborn things. But facing reality is vital.  Next we take biblical action. Shrink what we are spending to less than is coming in. That’s financial accountability. Proverbs 24: 27.
