Fall, A Time Of Remembering

Fall is a time to remember summer, a time to clutch your cup of coffee, huddle in your jacket on the porch for a lingering relive of summer’s blessings. For me it was watching the sun rise over Crater Lake, Oregon. Watching God paint a black wall pink with his sun. The sound of my water skis swishing over Table Rock Lake Missouri, a thousand beads of perspiration celebrating that God created this land and its seasons. The words and music of ‘My Country Tis of Thee accompany my memories.
We seldom sing it, but we should.
Our country was birthed through hard work, pride, investment, death, sacrifice–all with God’s blessing or permission.
