Excuses to not work

M The book of Proverbs is so ‘in our face’ with truths about work. I’ve held many jobs, retail, education, relocation counseling and more. Word gets out of coworkers who aren’t at work and the ‘reason’ they gave.
V They’re sick, but appear the next day with a sun tan. Back injury but friends saw them at the gym lifting weights. Consider these excuses Proverbs. 22:13 The sluggard says, “There’s a lion outside! I’ll be killed in the public square!” 26: 13 A sluggard says, “There’s a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!
There were lions then, but rarely in public squares and streets.
M The lazy person finds reasons to avoid work. Scripture says work is good, honorable, and rewarded.
