Emotions and budgeting Fear

I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money
M Why do we fear creating a budget? Most would rather get a root canal. One fear is that we’ll feel deprived? How can we do without movie night and popcorn? That weekend get away? That shopping outing that takes our minds away from work or home chores?
V Fear means we avoid that thing. Keeping records, letting our spending speak for itself in a spread sheet or paper record. Step one needs to be knowing where its going. Yes, we may not like what we see. But the facts then can be faced. That unknown nagging fear is replaced with facts.
Then we can go to work on meaningful decisions, changing the facts. The lady of Proverbs 31 does not fear the future. She knows, plans, and works.
