Emergency Funds

M  I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money.

M An emergency fund of 3 to 6 months living expenses is more than recommended.  Likely it will be required as job loss and unexpected events happen to everyone.  If you don’t have it, how can you start.

V  Take that tax refund and open the savings account.  Set up an automatic  transfer from your checking to the savings account, even a small amount.  It’s painless and you have the satisfaction of making progress. Consider an online bank for your savings account.  They pay higher rates than bricks and mortar.

M  Scripture says care for your family. I Timothy 5: 8 Emergencies happen.  Honor God and be prepared.
