M  A recent study documented that it cost $233,610 to raise a child through age 17, for middle income, married couple families.  Deciding to have or adopt children is seldom a money driven decision.  But its helpful to know.

V Many couples agree that their children are, or were, more costly than they expected.  Extra tutoring might be needed. Athletes in multiple sports, braces for that bright smile, and more.  For middle income families, those priorities of education, experiences, and appearance might be worth reducing other categories. One vital thing is for both parents to communicate and be together on these decisions.

M Besides children seeing the family financial priorities, they’ll see parents in unity for their best interests. A blessing indeed.
