Does Jesus Matter

Christmas decorations have been in the stores since before Halloween. I don’t like it, but retail stores are about sales, not the meaning of Christmas. Yet, it makes us think. As we are drawn to the gift thing, buying, business schedules, event planning, do we let that crowd out focusing on the real meaning of Christmas? Does Jesus matter? Would December be the same, had Jesus never come?
Thinking of the greatest gifts I’ve ever been given, peace of mind and heart top the list. Jesus gave me those. His gift of forgiveness means I leave past regrets behind and thank Him this season. Without Jesus, revenge replaces forgiveness. Dissatisfaction, even depression, replaces contentment. What is the greatest gift you’ve received? Think what Jesus offers. Thank you Jesus that you came. That’s our greatest gift.
