Different gifts.

I married a baritone music major.  Bob was gifted and he refined and grew that gift leading choirs, singing solos, the lead singer in college groups.  He could sing.  Me, not so much.  I desired to be able to sing duets with him.  He sang with other sopranos, why not me?  Our church scheduled us to sing a duet—we did, only once.

I needed to internalize Romans 12:6

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.  One versus says  ‘In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.  I could teach, and did.  I could write, and did.  All were blessed by my not singing duets with my husband.

He’ll show you your gift.  You and others will be blessed by using YOUR gift.
