December giving

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

V 2020 is a year of change in giving.  Many charities and churches will receive less, given the economic impact of Covid.  Yet many they serve have more needs.  We know that most charities and churches use those dollars more efficiently than our government.   The impact is both global and local.

M  If your focus has been global giving, see what that charity is able to do given Covid.  Travel restrictions and lack of local health services in developing countries have closed some doors.  Local needs have grown.  Helping underserved educational areas, food pantries, assistance with utilities, there’s no lack of opportunity.  Research locally seeing first hand what they do.  Volunteer, look at their websites and newsletters.

M  Continue giving either global, where possible, or local for sure.
