Dark versus Light
September 27, 2017
On our families many trips to Ruby Falls in Tennessee a impressive moment was always being deep underground in that cavern and the guide turning off all lights. Darker than any starless and moonless night, we could not see our hand in front of our face. All the beauties of stalactites and stalagmites were invisible, as well as dangerous drop offs.
Light reveals. In darkness even the imagination can’t reveal all that light does. The apostle John states that Jesus was and is the Light and came to enlighten everyone in the world. John 1: 5–9. Unless we embrace Jesus, much in the world does not make sense. Our vision is blurred, we can’t sort evil from goodness. Embracing Jesus, the light goes on. Perspective, warnings, and beauty.
