Crispr-Cas9 gene therapy # 2
January 15, 2020
Considering new options for curing diseases, Crispr-Cas9 is getting attention as a method to alter DNA, identifying genetic diseases and altering DNA to prevent them. As discussions, even debates grow over its use, we can agree on two things: This gene therapy is not inherently evil. However, it is inherently powerful. One challenge for us as Christ followers is to continue all ‘discoveries’ in the light of Scripture. Psalm 139: 13—16 informs of our existence before birth. The viability issue doesn’t define life. That is replaced by the divine ultra sound. Psalm 139: 16. Your eyes saw my unformed body all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
We trust God’s divine power.
