Crisis and forgiveness

Crisis shakes our world and tests our willingness to act as Christ followers in our unwanted, maybe terrible crisis. Mature believers can revert to immature behavior, can cling to being defensive and even offensive, instead of submitting to the reality of that crisis. Mature believers are wise enough to know that our best defender is Christ. He will defend our defensible behavior, not our sin, cover up, pride, or denial. It is OK to appear weak. For when we are weak, He is strong. 2 Corinthians 12: 10.
This is so countercultural today. We fear a tarnished legacy, a smeared reputation, a different life. Crisis is a perfect time to take our eyes off of ourselves and keep them resolutely on God
