M Today is a day of remembering those who have died while serving in the military for our country. We have family members who have served but none who have died while doing so.
V Lets recognize that this sacrifice is a legacy that is remarkable. To sign up and be willing to be in harms way is a humbling act of strength. Giving up what one could have for the benefit of others.
M A recent contrast is the death of Bernie Madoff. Imprisoned for swindling billions from others and living a lavish life style, his greed left a legacy as well. I met with a group of young military widows. They treasured their husband’s legacy. Lives well lived for others.
