Contentment and greed

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M There are things in life that just don’t mix.  Water and oil. Milk and energy drinks. Microsoft and Apple.  As humans here are two more:  Contentment and greed.  Greeds partner, envy, wants what someone else has. Greed greases the wheel to acquire it. Even break the law and relationships to get it.

V Contentment is that God initiated sense that what He has provided is enough.  Paul was content in any circumstance, including prison.  No doubt he was cold and hungry.  One of the 10 commandments is Do not covet.  Exodus 20: 17.  Wanting what someone else has is selfishness at best, even worse coveting denies God’s sovereignty.

M Pray every day early and often ‘God give me contentment and joy.’
