Christmas with less money

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M Is this a year where your financial picture shrunk?  Job loss, health issues, divorce? widowhood?  Don’t delay to change how much you spend during the holidays.  You may wish to charge, which means borrowing from the future, to keep up appearances.

V  Caution:  That financial bottom line is reality.  Being accountable means your future bills will still be your future bills.  In some cases you might be able to share and say, its been a hard year.  But even if not, plan carefully.  A shared experience in an affordable place might bring more pleasure than a gift that doesn’t last.  Shared memories are a treasure.

M  One small well thought out purposeful gift is more meaningful than big $ shelled out on impulse.
