Christmas shopping
December 16, 2020
I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money
M Predictions state that Christmas shopping expenditures will be lower this year than last. The pandemic has brought new meaning to what matters. Less travel might mean more money spent on home decorations. That’s not necessary. Growing up decidedly poor, we strung popcorn chains for our tree. We made colorful chain links of paper pasting loops and loving our creative tree.
V Mom, we were subjected to making some of these strange decorations. You’ve managed to save them even with Santa is missing and eye, or Rudolph the rain deer missing a leg.
M You get the point. This is a good year to modify traditions to meet the realities of income.
