Christmas day hustle

How is your day going, my friend? Are you bustling around an over warm, over crowded home, juggling hospitality, even unearthing a random item to wrap for an unexpected or even forgotten guest? Are you traveling hoping to get to your destination on time, despite the traffic or weather?
I’d suggest that carving out 30 minutes to read Matthew 1 and 2 even if its late at night and you’re exhausted. The reason for this day, no matter how familiar the story, always reminds us afresh that there is nothing ordinary about Jesus.
Forget for a moment the things that went right in your day and even the disappointments. Focus on Jesus with gratitude that He came, He lived for us. Whether you’re with others, or alone, He is worth celebrating.
