A Life magazine article in March 1994 surveyed what people prayed for.
98% prayed for family, 92% forgiveness, 23% victory in a sports event, and 5% harm to fall on someone.
How often did they pray? Less than once a day, 25%, once or twice, 51% and three or more times daily 24%.
What would those statistics be today?
26 years later, our challenges are greater. Our children are less safe on streets and in schools, our economic futures less stable, and our world less predictable.
Scripture says pray at all times. No hour of solitude? Stopping for a red light, being stuck in traffic, on hold on phone matters, sleepless night hours. Swimming laps or jogging. Any time is prayer time.
