I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

 

M  We live in a culture of discontentment.  Are we getting OURS?  Its our right, our entitlement.  W compare.  Scripture encourages us to be content.  Soldiers  wanted more pay.  Luke 3: 14.  People wanted more stuff.  Hebrews 13: 5.  Why is contentment so important?

 

V Discontentment can bring financial disaster. We lose the ability to be discerning. We ignore God’s financial guidelines.  Our view of our circumstance is clouded, we make hasty foolish choices like impulse spending and

risky investments hoping for a big windfall.  Opps, gone.

 

Hebrews 13: 5 says Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”  That’s all that matters.
