Bold

Remembering my recent trip to Kenya the memory replayed of slogging beside the Kissi highway from a meeting with pastors back to my hotel.  It was rainy season and a down pour during the meeting meant the dirt walking rut was a mud pit.  I trudged on actually smiling.  I love being a catalyst for churches noticing, reaching out to, and caring for their widows.

Why trudge through mud clutching my plastic poncho with a smile on my face.  Martin Luther said it well.

“God can make one so desperately bold.”

Every trip has challenges, no comfortable place to recoup between projects.  But when God gives you an assignment, as He has me, to care for widows “God can make one so desperately bold.”
