Being subject to authority

Given that our country is experiencing gyrations on most levels. What is our biblical response? Our government is issuing directives. How do we respond? Titus 3:1 Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good.
It’s hard to be ‘subject’ when we don’t like what we’re hearing. Staying away from our vulnerable relatives, leaving what we shopped for them at the door. No hugs. Not gathering to chat, to pray, to catch up.
We have to consider again the concept of church. It’s really never been the building, bricks and mortar. Acts chapter 2 describes worshiping in homes, sharing meals, community care in a way seldom practiced today.
Change is inevitable. Let’s search Scripture for revised biblical models.
