4 important questions # 3
August 4, 2017
Unwanted change in our life jerks our attention backwards. What could I have done to avoid this? We shoulder blame and try to unload it somewhere, on others or ourselves. If its a relationship lost, what could we have done differently. If death takes a loved one, we have regrets. Could have, should have, would have.
The question asked is: Will I ever not feel guilty? Could I have done something more?
11 Corinthians 7:10 tells us that godly sorrow brings us to ask forgiveness, and sorrow of this world is destructive. Translation: true quilt for wrongdoing means we ask forgiveness if possible. False guilt: you did no wrong. The evil one wants to limit your joy in life. You have done what you could. Now you need to face forward and move on.
