What do we need in times of transition. Are you saddened by the direction even of our leaders? I take heart reading Scripture. It starts with me. Micah 6: 8
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
I look in the mirror. Today I want to walk humbly. The first commandment. Honor God first. Act justly. Be fair. Culture approves grabbing for yourself. These are days when folks need encouragement. Thank those who are cleaning the building, collecting garbage, serving others regardless of their perceived rank.
Remember God’s love and mercy to me. This may not change my nation, but it will shine God’s light in my community.
