Do you remember being ill as a child? The most rambunctious, hyperactive child who never sits still is likely to cuddle into Mama or Papa’s lap when they have a fever.
Here’s a parallel for us grown ups. When things go well, we often race ahead in life ignoring our Heavenly Father. Then tragedy or a bump in the road happens. No money, damaged relationship, legal challenges, teen on the run, cancer. We need comfort, we need wisdom.
Where do we run? God, our Abba Father is always ready and waiting. Open arms, comfort to spare, wisdom on everything, and time. Time to embrace us, time to listen.
