Romans 8: 28 is a paradox.  ‘We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.’  When bad stuff, hurt, even evil wraps their tentacles around us, we don’t see good.

V  Many financially successful investors experienced really bad times.  Benjamin Grahm, author of ‘The Intelligent Investor” a most highly acclaimed investment book, watched, as his mom sunk into poverty, after the death of his Dad.  She moved from having a maid and high living, to their home becoming a boarding house and the humility of poverty.

M We don’t know their family’s spiritual convictions, but we do know Scripture.  Grahm became hugely financially successful and hugely generous.
