Connect with your school
August 27, 2021
Do you want a purposeful assignment? Make a GOOD connection with your local school. Talk with personnel there and find out what’s happening. Colossians 4:6 advises that our conversation be seasoned with grace, not contentious. Don’t be surprised that you find programs and people that you feel should NOT be influencing our children. Remember public schools represent the public–everybody.
They are a microcosm of our society and culture. And that is precisely why it is important for you to connect, serve, listen, and get to know what’s happening there. It’s our tendency to disconnect when we are discouraged or feel we can’t make a difference. Jesus’ example shows us how to stay engaged, connect positively. This disruption has provided a unique opportunity. 50 million children in our schools are worth it.
