M Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6) Lets apply that principle to money. Note its a principle, not a promise. Parents can start their children on a path of generosity.
V Encouraging them to give even from their small allowance starts the process. Discussions, where shall we give? Why do we give? They see others in need and explore best ways to give.
Later, let them help pick to whom and what organizations, including church, will receive from the family generosity plan. There is no guaranteed they will follow that pattern. But it’s more likely if they have learned early and seen the blessing of giving.
