Fraud flags # 1 Urgent

I’m Miriam  Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY,-and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money

M Financial fraud is common.  If you’re in transition, you are a target. Widowed, recently a recipient of money?  Someone has a plan for your money, for their profit, not yours.  How do we spot those red flags?

V  This is a big flag.  It’s urgent!  You’ve got to act now, buy this annuity, or invest in this great upstart restaurant.  Lots and lots of words, nebulous data.   Financial fraudsters like to talk about other things, like your hobby, relative, even commonalities like shared faith.   Mom you experienced that.

M No hurry.  Talk to wise advisors. Tell this ‘friend’ you’ll be consulting others and comparing.  Thoroughly check the data.  Sound too good to be true?  Run don’t walk from the fraudsters.
