But God 2
April 30, 2021
I recently experienced a quick smack to my human reaction of a mistake someone made. But God, I whined, the outcome could have been better! (i.e. from my perspective) I needed a quick smack. I was focused on what Miriam wanted. God’s very blunt and quick reminder to me was. “Its just your job to show up. The results of any of your efforts have nothing to do with you. That’s my job.” Scripture came to mind of the many times the tiny phrase, “But God,” appears. His line in the sand separates how we see things, what’s coming down and going wrong, and the BUT GOD factor. Ephesians 2:4 “But God who is rich in mercy,” loving us when we’re unloveable, giving us positions and opportunities we don’t deserve. Thank God.
