In the days after Jesus resurrection people responded in varied ways. The guards simply did their jobs, left the open, empty tomb and reported the news to the chief priests. Matthew 28 The chief priest and elders more than spun the news, they lied. They bribed the guards to change the narrative. “His disciples stole his body!”
These thousands of years later, people still accept that lie. To believe Jesus never came to life means you can avoid what to do with the truth. Countless Christ followers today, even more than the millions who saw Him alive, follow our living Jesus, we experience His presence. Spinning the news does not change the news that Jesus is risen! What will you do with that truth?
