Passing on financial wisdom # 2

I’m Miriam Neff-with STARTING OVER FINANCIALLY, and I’m Valerie Neff Hogan, and we’re here to talk about money
M Erratic times, like today, offer opportunities to help those who are struggling. Adult children, even grandchildren may need an assist. Considerations are: don’t jeopardize your future to provide for yourself. Proverbs 3:27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.
V If their money management skills are lacking, consider covering an expense such as dental, repairing a car, or other need. Rather than encouraging dependency, we are helping without hurting. ‘Over gifting’ denies them the wisdom gained from learning to live frugally.
M I marvel at new ways to spend money. Spotify apps for music, Door dash for instant food, no prep. I’d call those unnecessary, not gift worthy in hard times.
